We ship all product in 24-48 hours using a local drop off point that sends it out the next morning. We only ship in the United States.
Our shipping methods will depend on which products are purchased. If we had one complaint it's that we package comics almost too well.
We do not use Media Mail for comics.
1-3 Comic singles may be packaged with hard cardboard - bagged and boarded in a stayflat mailer. 4-12 comics will be shipped via a Gemini Cardboard Flash Mailer. 12+ issues or larger graphic novels may be shipped in a USPS Priority box depending on size. ALL SHIPMENTS ARE USPS Priority with insurance and tracking included.
Graphic Novels, CGC comics, and larger purchases will be wrapped tightly with upcycled cardboard inside, bubble wrap, and then boxed. Masking tape is used to help secure the contents. Cling wrap and/or tape may be utilized.

We love our regulars but our inventory has become too robust for our short staff. Like they are really short. They can't even hit the top of the door frame when jumping.
As we grow we'd like to re-add these services to the general public but right now our real venues have become local events and booths and it has made these services unwieldy. Any and all regular subscribers have been given some sick coupons that more than make up for it.
African or European?
Pug Dog Comics LLC logo by yours truly. Absolutely fantastic superhero pug spot artwork by the talented Josh Lynch, used with permission. He really is a good egg. No, the best of eggs.
I'm sorry guys. I know you want to hang out.
Though we have enough to start a brick and mortar location we're using those funds to cover business expenses for the first year. We want the online side of the business to be able to carry the burden of rent and a half before signing a 3 year lease. We are doing everything in our power to accomplish this with personal savings and not fall into a debt trap of a hefty loan. We know there's no such thing as instant results and it's going to take months to start seeing sales that cover all the good stuff we order for you on a regular basis.
Every purchase you make on Pug Dog Comics matters and can bring us one step closer to a community centric event experience.
String or nothing.
Short answer: Maybe!
Long rambling answer with too much information you didn't ask for: If we don't have it on the site we can check the warehouse and/or see if we can pull it from our hookups in the secondary market. We are very interested in what kind of comics you love but we're far more likely to be able to pick up new genres that have interest than older individual titles.
I feel like the comic industry needs to be explained a little. It's a remnant of the pulp serial newsstand era and everything is treated like an issue of a magazine that comes out bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually. Some have short runs and some have ongoing issues with no defined end in sight.
Comic shops order what they want and the printers go to print based solely on what comic shops order with a little buffer for misprints and backorders. Super popular titles will get the reprint treatment if they're lucky but publishers know rarity equals value. This is why first print runs of popular comics gain value over a speculative market. Once they're gone they're gone.
Trade paperbacks have a higher chance of seeing it come back thanks to the likes of Alan Moore's Watchmen and Neil Gaiman's Sandman. Before that it was unheard of for titles to see perpetual reprints. Out-of-print graphic novels can get expensive over time, but more like reader copies of books - they're not collected in the best possible condition like trading cards how individual comic issues are.
Everything I carry is purchased weeks if not months in advance. Due to the way Diamond treats new accounts I just paid for a book that won't be out until seven months from now.
Please understand our focus is on new and upcoming comics. We order collections and back issues for fun with the live show when we can, but those can be very random as to what's actually available. Everything on our website is first time circulation.
We don't want to sound grim and turn people away. If we don't have what you're looking for in stock we might be able to special order if a copy is available for back order. If you're okay with second hand I have a few hookups in the secondary market. However, that one specific Aliens TPB you want from 1995? That's where collector market sites and auctions like eBay come into play.
If you want to discover something new and love it before it becomes mainstream? You've come to the right place.
